REMOVAL OF DISCOVERY WORLD CHANNEL 187
I am a DSTV Select 2 user. Without consultation or notification, they took away channel 187. On the website it says that it will be replaced by channel 136, but it is not available for me, only for the Family Package.<br> Why should I pay the full INCREASED!!! amount , but get less on my package??? This is a breach of contract on DSTV side. Years ago when I took up this package, nobody told me that they are entitled to take away channels and at the same time increase the monthly payment.<br> The same happened when they took away channel 308 KidsCo, that was replaced by JimJam that I can't watch.<br> Why is the consumer the one that is always wrong and that must be satisfied with half baked answers? Seeing that we as Select 2 users pay the same amount as Family package users, we must get the same entertainment.<br> Please don't try telling me Select 1 & 2 are ring-fenced. Yes, it is possible to do that by not adding new customers, but then your old customers must be treated the same as all the other. Our money is as good as any other viewer's money. You never have to struggle to get your monthly payment. Why must I struggle and post on Hello Peter.<br> DSTV you should be ashamed!!!
Discovery World is no longer available on the DStv platform. We have launched a new channel called Discovery Family on DStv Channel 135. As a DStv Select customer, you do not receive any new channels launched. However, you can move to the DStv Family package for the same price point.
The new Discovery Family channel will be on DStv Channel 136, moving TLC Entertainment to DStv Channel 135, means the two channels will sit next to each other.
