Refusing to screen FIFA Womens World CUP-***ist

I was alarmed to find that DSTV's Supersport has decided not to buy the license to screen the FIFA Women's World Cup this year. The women's world cup, like the men's, is the biggest women's soccer event in the world and one of the premier women's sporting events. Supersport and DSTV make a big fuss about being dedicated to being representative of everyone, upholding equality and also making a specific commitment to gender equality. It beggars belief how they came to the decision this year to forgo screening this global event. They have always bought the screening rights for the World Cup before. I was wondering if you would be able to get someone from DSTV on air to offer up their reasoning for this decision. As an aside it is worth mentioning that there are 3 African teams in the competition and Cameroon obliterated Ecuador 6-0 yesterday and Nigeria drew 3-3 with Sweden- both of these results are incredibly impressive. What a sad state of affairs that Supersport has chosen to take a massive step backwards for women's soccer, and sport in general. Furthermore, why on both your Facebook and Twitter timeline photos is there not one women featured? Is Caroline Wostmann not deserving?
