R1.00 till slip for a R400.00 payment

Hi there

We had power failure on the 09 March 2016 and upon the return of electricity the decoder was scanning and did not switch on. We called the call centre and then they advised us to bring the decoder. My husband took it and he was told to pay R400 to get a new one as that one could not be fixed. He then paid and Friday when I came back home i noticed that the slip is for R1.00! I sent the query to the call centre and a lady by the name of Zanele called to confirm that only a payment of R1.00 reflects on the system which confirms the amount paid. She asked me if we received the decoder and when i said yes she said she does not see the reason why I'm unhappy because I've got the decoder. I told her i expect a R400.00 slip if I pay that amount and she insisted that I must be happy that I was given the decoder. She then said she can't transfer me anywhere and I must go back to the agency if I want some answers.

It is not about the money but the principle. As a retailer myself I know a customer gets a slip for the amount paid. This gives Multichoice a very name and leaves an impression that the customer service consultants knows nothing and don't care about the customers!
