PVRs expensive but no resale value (extreme difficulty transferring ownership)

<p>At home we are currently on DSTV compact, due to my working hours I have found a Pace PVR on OLX, where the seller has sold the device because his current residence doesn't allow the LNB required to be installed, and therefore sold it, from this point a change of ownership needs to be done, and both myself and the seller has been referred from pillar to post, and by now have wasted many a working hours, I have sent an e mail to the head office, who would have come back to me in 24 hours, I am waiting more than 3 days now, at this point I have the documents ready for consumer tribunal, Because I do believe some of these practices to be against the CPA, Herewith I must also warn other potential DSTV customers, When buying a decoder or PVR and need to sell it on in future, these items don't hold any second hand value, exactly because of the extreme difficulty with transfer of ownership, Second hand stores also dont take or sell PVRs and decoders, So if wanting to buy on Junkmail or OLX, please beware, I am at the point where I am about to give up, and write off the money I spent, but not before exhausting all legal channels to adress this matter.</p>
