Price Lock Contract and Cancellation
On the 13th of December 2024 I app**** for price lock contract, with a device and installation, and was told that it would take 4 to 7 business days for the installer to arrive. After eight business days I had not received any communication from the installer, and called Multichoice, and the agent told me that I would receive communication after 24 to 48 hours. I kept on calling every two business days, and would be told the same thing. When I asked for the matter to be escalated, the agents told me that they had but were not able to give me a reference number. On 2 January 2025, I called again to enquire on the progress and receive feedback for the escalated matter. I was told that my device had not left the warehouse and no installer had been assigned to my device, and when I asked to escalate the matter even further I was given the reference number ***5. Today I called one thing to cancel my contract as I had not received any help since the 13 December, and was taken from pillow to post for 25 minutes before I was redirected to the cancellation department. I spoke to an agent called Siyabulela, who would not help me and when I asked to speak to his manager he refused. Eventually transferred to the manager, Kressin Ramasang, who informed me that their department is unable to process my cancellation, gave me the reference number 8***–I75, before transferring me to the price lock cancellation department. And the price log cancellation department I spoke to an agent called Nkululeko Khumalo. I told him that I wanted to cancel my contract, he advised me that we check the installers progress. When I refuse to do that and asked again to cancel my contract he kept on refusing and telling me that he would like to check the installers progress. I then asked to be transferred to his manager or supervisor but he ended my call. I am dissatisfied with the way everything was handled.
