This past December our connection was cut off by DSTV without any calls to inform us. Because we had family from New Zealand and a death in the family we had no need to watch TV so we left it off. Yesterday, 29th we decided to pay the subscription to have it on again only to be told that the money paid would be deducted for December/January as even though they disconnected our view their system shows it was active for 10 days thus R300 and some change is due for that. So we will have to pay again today if we want to haveit on for the next month. So although we had no access to DSTV in our home we have to pay because their very efficient system says that THEY left it active. The staff you speak to is arrogant and unhelpful PLUS how are we to know that even though DSTV disconnected your view you still have to call them to disconnect you? What an amazing service provider we have in this country. Pity that you guys are the only one in this business, you could do with a good competitor. Very disgusted that you are ripping South Africans off like this, after all WE made you what you are!

Best regards,
Good day Allison Danster
We tried to contact you without any success.
DStv service is a month-to-month contract - when you pay your subscription, the contract for that month is fixed.
It is the responsibility of the subscriber to inform MultiChoice that they will not be using the service for the upcoming month.
Should this not happen the subscriber will be responsible for any additional amount accumulated on the account.
Our records indicate that you have been in contact several times with MultiChoice burring the month of December 2016 for technical assistance and you were advice on the billing on your account.
It is for this reason your service remained active and therefore you are responsible for the amount due on your account.
Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us .
Kind regards
Rupert
