Poorest service I've ever received from DSTV; in fact, no service at all on a 1 hour conversation.
I had an issue with ‘Streaming limit reached’ however I wasn’t streaming anywhere else. I initiated a DStv chat via ‘https://chat.DStv.com/’. A guy named Ramadimetja responded; He gave me what he called a solution (Go to More > Settings > Manage Devices.) of which I couldn’t find via now.DStv.com and He suggested that I use a different browser (which didn’t make sense but I did anyway and that option wasn’t there), He then suggested a DStv App to delink the devices, I told him that I don’t have my phone with me hence I wanted to use the website to stream.
In that case he couldn’t help me because I need to have the App. I've asked him two questions repeatedly that he failed to answer, These are the questions that I expect a Multichoice/DStv representative to answer as they’ll somehow give me an idea of the direction that DStv is taking regarding customer support. He said the only alternative is to remove the linked devices from the App. I know DStv customer service has been deteriorating but I wasn’t expecting it to reach rock bottom so quick. I asked him: 1. Does that mean one cannot stream anymore as long they don't have DStv App or don't have their phone with them? Are you saying Multichoice expect all its customers to have smartphones and DStv App as a prerequisite regardless of which platforms they utilize for streaming? 2. How do linked devices affect streaming if none of these devices are connected / Streaming at the time? Does that mean one has to link and delink devices every time they want to stream via any platform provided by DStv? There are questions that I asked but he couldn't answer, I even suggested that he escalate this hopefully there’s someone with experience who can assist but he didn’t. At some point he even asked ‘How do you want to go about this?’ Asking a customer if He has alternative solution besides the DTSV App. How ridiculous is that. This guy wasted my time and still no resolution on the issue. All I wanted was the ‘Streaming limit reached’ issue to be sorted as there was no other device streaming at that time.He kept telling me to use the App and I was clear that I don't have my phone with me and therefore cannot access DStv App which is why I wanted to stream via the Laptop.
So he basically gave me an idea that customers who do not have Smartphones nor DStv App cannot get support from DStv even though the issue is not related to the APP. I’m certain that not every DStv subscriber has a smartphone/tablet nor DStv App. What happens if you lost your phone? Does that mean you can't get support / stream via other platforms?

I've received a call from your consultant who came instructions on how to resolve the issue, although the resolution didn't make sense to me(He requested that I log into the App and remove all linked devices.
1. All your consultants failed to answer how linked devices could be an issue if they are not currently streaming.
2. They still couldn't answer as to how do they assist a person who doesn't have a smartphone nor DSTV App.
There were and still no devices linked to my DSTV App either way. The guy even went to an extend of saying that lots of customers have been getting this error since the streaming was reduce to one. So that clearly confirmed that DSTV don't care about their customers hence they rushed to launch the streaming to 1 without rigorous testing. We are paying everything month without fail but yet you fail to sort out your streaming issues. Am I going to be compensated for the time I've lost failing to stream?
Yesterday I complained again via Twitter and '~MMT' signature suggested that I clear my phone cache and delete the DSTV App and reinstall it again, Again it didn't make sense to me as to how will deleting and reinstalling the App going to help with my streaming on my laptop. I tried it anyway and still nothing.I still get the same error.
Seems like DSTV doesn't know how to fix their own system neither do they care.
Basically the feedback that said will be provided as soon as possible doesn't help and it's been a week now trying the same thing with 3 different consultants. THEY ARE STILL FAILING.
