Poor service delivery at its best
Good day,

I am deeply appalled by the apparent lack of respect and poor customer service that customers are subject to by DSTV. I mean to think that every month I spend about R800 on my subscription. I think lack of competition is the main reason customers are taken for granted. Just on Tuesday, I phoned DSTV in order to seek assistance with my TV that wasn't showing all the channels and it took about 5 minutes or even more before I could go through, and once I went through I still did not receive assistance. I wasted my time and my R60 airtime ran out. I then thought that it means that one must spend R100 worth of airtime just to get serviced and this according to my books is ridiculous.

In the first place why are customers made to pay for the calls? And judging by the number of complaints it seems as though I am not the only one that has experienced poor service delivery. Multichoice is a multimillion if not Billion Rand company and therefore why is it being operated like a ****a shop? Hire more consultants/technicians and make the calls to be toll free or at least shared calls. I think it is only fair that way.

We do apologies for the inconvenience caused by our Interactive Voice Response system.
We are always looking at providing the best customer experience on our Interactive Voice Response hence we moved to the more personalized option of Speech Recognition.
The Speech Recognition option is still in its infancy stages and thus its vocabulary range may be limited at present. An update of the vocabulary is done every quarter, which allows for us to review all
The reason the system would have needed to take your details would have been to offer you assistance with your query without you having to wait for a consultant, which would result in your call time being reduced drastically.
Once again please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced in this regard.
Thank you for taking the time to point out our service failings. As we continually strive to improve our service, feedback such as yours is extremely valuable.
