Poor response from MNET

Last week Monday (2nd Oct) I phoned MNET as we had no sound on MNET. We only have the MNET analogue decoder and have been loyal MNET customers for nearly 20 years. This happened quite often in June/July and when I phoned them they said that they are migrating the analogue over to digital and we would receive a call to arrange for the technician to come out. This never happened. I got the same response last week and I have still not had a call for them to make an appointment. We never had sound for the entire week last week (Monday to Friday) and then for some reason the sound came back on the weekend. On Monday this week (9 Oct) we lost sound again and we still have no sound and we have also still not received the call from them. Everyone I phone they say they are elevating the problem and we will receive a call the next day. I am hoping that someone from MNET will take this seriously as I have now paid for 2 weeks but have not been able to watch anything on MNET at all.

PLEASE continue to support your loyal customers. Not everyone can afford DSTV but are still loyal and have been long before DSTV came along and if I get such bad service with MNET why would I want to pay more anyway.

Good day Bridget

Thank you for sending us your query. I further apologise for the delayed response in this regard.

Please be informed that Digital migration is a change of broadcasting TV from analogue to digital. Digital broadcasting offers more channels as well as better picture and sound quality.

The move or migration from analogue to digital is a global phenomenon and not only in South Africa. Our country is joining hundreds of countries around the world to move to a more efficient digital television.

As we no longer have these decoders on market, your query is referred to our technical team for further assistance. You will receive a call for arrangements before installation is done.

Please feel free to contact us if you require any further assistance.

Kind regards

Dinah

Best regards,

BF

My husband received a call on Thursday last week (12th Oct @ 12.45) from Clint (Ref: ********** 0) who told him that we would receive a call within 24 hours to set up an appointment to do the migration to digital. It is now Monday (and I don't have sound again) and we still have not received another call from Clint or anyone else at DSTV. The funny thing is that I had sound from Friday to Sunday and from Monday to Thursday no sound. This is now the 3rd week of the month that I am paying for a service that I am not receiving. If our query was handled in June/July when this all started, this would be sorted out by now. How is it possible that after they did not even bother to call us in July with regards to migration, which we requested, we have had perfect sound until the beginning of this month. Please can someone sort this out urgently as what more must we do to get some good service from DSTV.
