Poor Customer Service from DSTV

I am very disappointed in the customer service I received from DSTV recently. I had an old WALKA device which has now been phased out. 1stly nobody contacted me to let me know that the service will be discontinued. The device just stopped working. My father then took the device into the Multichoice office on Saturday 24 November. He was then told that the device has been phased out, it was then taken by the DSTV staff member. He was then told that I will receive a R500 Takealot voucher, because the device no longer works. The same afternoon (At 15:21) I received I call from someone at DSTV who then also told me that I will receive the voucher via e-mail. She then confirmed my e-mail address with me. I did not receive anything on Monday or Tuesday and then contacted the customer service centre on Tuesday late afternoon to follow up on the voucher. The consultant I spoke then then told me: Premium customers do NOT qualify for this voucher - ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS. In the 1st place I did not ask for the voucher, but was promised one, face to face at the walk in centre and then again over the phone. Only when I phoned to follow up on it was I told in no uncertain terms by the consultant that this was already escalated and that she cannot do anything for me. I spoke to the supervisor: Susan Sehlakgoe who basically said the same thing, but did say she will listen to the call from Saturday and provide me with feedback. She will then get the person who made the mistake, to phone me and apologise. Firstly I did not ask for this voucher, it was promised to me and I expected Multichoice to treat their old customers in a better way. I have been a customer of Multichoice for close to 20 years. Not even one month was my subscription paid late or was the payment not made. It looks like to me that I good Premium customer is treated differently? and not in a better way. I am very disappointed. I urge the DSTV complaint personnel to listen to both the calls - one from Saturday 24 November as well as Tuesday afternoon on 27 November. I still paid for the device and expected more.
