Please, please, please stop phoning me
Economic times are tough in all sectors including broadcasting, and many people are struggling to pay high DSTV fees. I pay for the full package, and I am rewarded (read punished) for this by being phoned non-stop for two weeks from a MultiChoice call centre in Durban. They are trying to make yet an additional buck out of me by selling me entirely unwanted insurance on a decoder (!!??). After two weeks I finally answered and asked them to stop phoning (we'll see whether this has worked …). As a customer I have to give DSTV my cellphone number, but why am I being abused by call centre spammers? When your revenue stream is under pressure, treat customers better rather than push them away. If you have an insurance product to offer (which you really shouldn't have!), advertise it and have interested parties contact you. If they don't, they don't want the insurance.
