Pillar to post service

I am completely shocked at theservice at DSTV. My decoder stopped working. Two people gave me their old decoders. I could not connect either myself so I phoned the call centre, who told me to go to a service centre with my ID. I specifically asked for the closing time of the service centre near me and they said 7am to 7pm. When I got to Columbine service centre, it was closed with a note saying they close at 5pm. I left work early and finally got them open, at which point I was informed that I need my ID, and the donors ID and they gave me a form. Why can we not do a tranfer of ownership by lteting the donor call in and email their details then I can do the same? What a waste of time to go up and down to a service centre that is not efficient. To crown it all, the tranfer form given to me by the service centre was printed on used paper-great, but with another customers personal details on the back-not great. I am wondering whether DSTV values or is interested in my business? I dread to think how they would have handled the fact that the account is on my husbands name and how they may agin have turned me away!

Nobody contacted me back. I went back to Digiworld with every document thinkable. They still could not help, said they had no smart cards and now I need a new smart card because I cannot use my existing smartcard. BUT if I pay R350 they can give me a new decoder and smartcard. Really??? They also cannot refund credit R295, maybe STV needs the money with all the clients they are losing.
