Phone calls are either dropped or not answered

After load shedding on Sunday night (26 July) in Cape Town, our decoder is not scanning. Left it for the night to try again on Monday night (27 July at about 7pm) and it's still not scanning, even after trying to reset the decoder and taking the card out. We then called the *** call centre number and spent about 30 minutes on the line for assistance on the matter. The call was dropped a couple of times and after the long wait, we just decided to try another number - Gauteng's Call centre. Same results. Now we're still stuck (and paying for!) a service that we cannot use.

Hello Meterki,

We could not get hold of you today to discuss your query with you telephonically.

We are sorry to hear that you could not get through our call centre for technical assistance.

The signal has been sent to your decoder to restore the picture. Furthermore, please pull out the power cable from the decoder for five seconds. After five seconds, put the power cable back on and your decoder should start to scan. Once the decoder has scanned, you should have the picture.

If the problem persist, kindly take your decoder in for testing at the nearest Multichoice branch or agency. The test will be done at no cost to you.

Once again, we apologise for the delay and the inconvenience caused. Your support is important to us.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
