Pensioner Rebate for 86 year old Customer
Greatly disappointed with the response and lack of flexibility to be more customer-orientated in accommodating a long standing customer of 27 years due to short comings on internal control mechanism in monitoring decoder locations. <br> ---<br> SUPPLIER'S RESPONSE Multichoice <br> Hello Mayur Bhoolia,<br> <br> While the plight of pensioners is a concern to all of us at MultiChoice, we do not offer discount to pensioners. MultiChoice is a public company and is not subsidized by the Government, thus the reason as to why we can not reduce the subscription fee for pensioners. Please note that SABC is subsidized by the Government and this is the reason for reduced rates.
However, a discount is offered to pensioners or retired persons who reside in a retirement home or village, which subscribes to the M-Net service only as a whole (multi-unit dwelling). This is a retirement village / home that utilize one decoder and one antenna to provide all living units with the M-Net signal.
Please be advised that MultiChoice also offers smaller packages that are cheaper in price.
