Payment for nothing

I got a wifi router from dstv but it never worked, and so reported the matter to them but they told me to go to the nearest office and so I did, but they told me they can't help me. I then called their headquarters for the 4th time and a lady told me my router has no coverage, she then made a order for the router to collected by courier company. A courier company by the name of FedEx collected the router and now after 6 months later dstv is still expecting me to pay for the router, I can't even cancel the thing. I really need help. I called them and they keep telling me the matter is under investigation, 6/7 later
