Pathetic service to an account paid a year in advance!
Dstv has once again proved pathetic service and no-care attitude.
I have had a stand-alone package (Zee TV) for the past couple years, which I paid for a year in advance (and expires only in Mar/April 2020). Dstv has decided to "consolidate" their packages and now only offer a Full Indian Bouquet (since the beginning of November 2019, and double the price) which I apparently have no choice but to accept or be cut off, according to Dstv. I was also only given a week for a 'Final Notice' Reminder!!! Pathetic!
I disagreed to this completely and have sent multiple emails. I'm guessing this will get no solution either as it seems they have this 'don't-care' attitude towards customers.
So far I have a response (with no bother to reply to my further email queries) from Conny Ramathoka, Thando Moche. They basically told me (other than asking my for my name again) that whatever monies paid upfront will just be credited to the new package. Again I DID NOT AGREE to that. In essence they just decided to do what they wanted with my money without giving me the option. I told them this was *******, but no response.
My last email to them, I asked for the ombudsmans number and for direct contact details for their manager or Director, which surprize surprize, all communication has since went dead.
I have communicated emails (received/sent) on 24.10.2019, 25.10.2019, 30.10.2019. In one of those emails they were asking for my name. Even though this was already given a case number (No. ***). I wonder if anyone even reads these cases!?!
I have now been sent messages (sms) stating that I am in arrears to them and that they don't want to cut me off, but I should pay the outstanding balance or they will stop my viewing.
Dstv should have returned ALL balances of monies which I paid for a year in advance, or cut me off in November. But to use the monies incorrectly/*******ly and just debit a new package which I did not want is ridiculous!
I can't wait to hear what excuses they have this time, If they ever respond to this message or my emails. Which I seriously doubt based on past experiences with them.
*PS all further communication should be in emails (dstv has my emails unless they consolidated that too), as calls are never answered on time (and you are just shoved around from agent to agent if they ever answer the actual call). Dstv, it seems, also doesn't like sending the Audio recordings (or links) that are requested of calls.
You may contact me the same time tomorrow if it has to be via phone call.
But as per above message, would prefer contact via email (anytime) to “discuss” the matter.
I saw the missed calls from a jhb number, but when I returned the call it was also “to no avail”

So with the reconciled amounts, do I just pay the above subsidized amount on my dstv account number at any of the retailers?
And will it the be reconnected automatically until the 04/04/2020? Or will I have to phone in for connection again?
