Pathetic service from MultiChoice
This is an e-mail sent to MultiChoice today. It is sickening to see how *********** their staff are. I noticed how other customers have much the same opinion - yet true to their style they do not respond and simply ignore all complaints = typical. In an endeavor to resolve this I am attempting to locate their CEO or MD. (or are they the ones pocketing our money?)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Good Day,
I am currently a Premium subscriber with the old HD PVR. On Sunday 31 March, I contacted MultiChoice ( ********** ) to apply for the DSTV Explora Price lock offer. I was informed that an agent/consultant would contact me in this regard. On Tuesday I received a call from one of your agents and my details and financials were verified. I was informed as follows: My application was successful; That this has been communicated to the relevant department The cost will be R899.00 per month This payment will remain unchanged for 24 months The first payment via debit order would be due on the 1st of May. That MultiChoice would arrange for the amendment of the debit order (a reduction from R928.50 to R899.00) That delivery would take place within 24 to 48 hours The delivery would include the following: A model 3A Explora (inluding remote) A new satellite dish A new smart LMB The necessary cabling That the installation thereof would be free of charge That the courier would inform the installer of this request (not myself) That the installation must take place within fourteen days of delivery to avoid a double subscription charge That Showmax would automatically be available by using the appropriate button on the Explora remote That the courier would not contact me prior to delivery That the delivery would take place between 08H00 and 17H00 (excluding weekends) Then, once on Thursday and twice on Friday (last week) I received calls from your agents attempting to verify my credentials? This was already done as detailed above.
Frustrated, I called MultiChoice again this morning and was informed as follows: The voice prompt informed me that the outstanding amount payable by me this month was in excess of R1,500?? The agent then informs me that I should ignore this statement?? The agent then informs me that the courier would only be delivering the Explora decoder?? That the courier would provide me with contact details of two approved installers That I need to contact them for an appointment for installation to take place?? That the installer will provide for the dish, LMD and cabling?? That this request has been escalated. From the above contradictions it is clear that the agents have no clue of the process that follows an application of this nature. Please clarify and confirm that the delivery will still take place today. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
