Pathetic ****mer

In January 2023, I took my Touareg for repairs at VW Westgate. It had water leak under the dashboard, I was informed that the leak is due to a failed aircon water pump, as I was covered by AA warranties and aircon components were included in my cover, I informed them and they requested a report from the repairer which in this case was also the OEM. Repairs were completed and the total cost was R18483.50, I submitted the paper work and pics of the parts to AA warranties and the claim was rejected due to wear, tear & rust. This rejection did not sit well with me and I contested it based on the fact that at +200000km, parts are bound to be old and signs of wear and rust are evidence of the longevity of use. A review was conducted and on the 27th of January 2023, R5203.74 was approved.

"We have reviewed the merits of your claim, and after careful consideration we stand by our decision in terms of the amount due to you. You claim will settled on the water pump and the labour. The policy does not cover serviceable parts as well as consumables. The claim pay out is R5203.74."

To this date, AA is still giving me run arounds and not even the approved amount has been paid to me. They change the goal posts of requirements every time I submit the papers they request.

This is one hell of a pathetic company I have ever dealt with and I wonder how many people have they ****med in the name of wear and tear or rust that accepted their lousy explanation and walkaway with a massive bill.
