Overcharged for unsuccessful debit order
Hello Peter In May 2015 I gave multichoice permission to debit my account for a premium subscription and now in August they deactivated my account, so today on the 15 of August I called the call centre to find out why my statement said I should pay an amount of R3895.00 when I had informed them to debit my account multichoice told me that in order for my services to be reconnected I must pay the full amount, I always thought they were debiting the account as I had no unpaid magtape on my bank statement so I assumed like all my other debit orders multichoice was also taking their money and now I am expected to pay the full amount before I can be reconnected I find that to be unfair, I tried to even ask if I can pay a certain amount to get my services back but they were insisting that I must pay the money in full. I have been with multichoice for over 10 years and this is the first time I experience such, I know that if I don't pay my services are cut off and I always gladly pay the amount due and also the R50 reconnection fee, but what is happening now is totally unacceptable. I'm extremely disappointed with the level of unprofessionalism I've just experienced. please do help.
