My previous decoder, HD PVR2P HDD packed up after only 14 months.
Decided to get Explora as it is advertised as the be all and end all of all decoders to date!
What a dissapointment!!!

Yes, bigger space to store programs, but the rest has fallen far behind the benchmark of the previous decoders

- pressing buttons on the remote to change volume, channels, input channel numbers, change settings, scroll through Playlist and Ccatch Up either does not register or accepts the input as 'double instruction' i.e. Taking it as the button have been pressed twice. Very annoying and frustrating...
- Pressing ok, when looking through 3 program line info, on the second or later program: first option is to record? Why? It was to set a reminder/autotune on previous decoder! If you want to record it, press record button!!!
- Remote Power button on and off: to switch on, wait for semicolon in time display to flash, but dont wait too long or it will switch off again.
- changing to Dolby Digital: huge process - previous model only had to press Language button

If you're thinking of buying Explora, DON'T! Too many problems/issues that have to be resolved, but DSTv waits for customer to identify it...
