Old Mnet decoder signal and channel changes

Hi

I still have the old mnet decoder. Gradually over the last year the signal has become worse and worse. Don't tell me it is the decoder that is starting to pack up, it is not. It is quite noticeable that when there is South African programming on the list, then the signal is great, but during or before other content the signal deteriorates drastically. It is also noticeable when you switch between the sports channel (CSN) and regular Mnet, the sports channels is crystal clear and the regular Mnet is ****py and vice versa. This happens at any time of the day in good and bad weather.

Another ****py thing is that Mnet nowadays cuts away from sports channels to screen movies or other nonsense during a match. This happened again this evening at 09:00pm, during the game between the Kings and Brumbies.

This is utterly unacceptable and borders on breach of “contract” (although you know that we as the customers cannot take you to court for it because you have more money than we do).

The way you are treating customers still on the old models decoders are terrible.

Set clear schedules and stick to them, don’t change midway to other programming.

If Mnet needs help setting up proper programming timeslots or schedules, just ask the customers to help because at the moment you seem just as *********** as the SABC.

Good day Andries

I fully understand your frustration caused by the technical issue.

Please be aware that Analogue service is phasing our and the digital migration is a change of broadcasting TV from analogue to digital. Think of it as going from a record player to a CD – which makes your viewing experience a whole lot better. Digital broadcasting offers more channels as well as better picture and sound quality.

The move or migration from analogue to digital is a global phenomenon – South Africa is joining hundreds of countries around the world to move to a more efficient digital television.

Some of the benefits of switching to digital include, better quality TV – better, clearer pictures and sharper sound quality. More choice, viewers will be able to access many free-to-air and other channels. Electronic Programme Guide – this gives you a view of what is currently showing on the channel, as well as what is coming up next. You can also access an on-screen TV guide to see what is on the different channels for the next week.

We have requested our technical team to contact you for more information relating to the Go-Tv decoder.

Please do contact us should you require any further assistance.

Kind regards

Dinah

Reviewer Update

Hi

Multichoice changed my analogue decoder for a digital decoder within 4 days of my complaint, very quick and efficient service. Thank you.

1 part of my problem was not addressed. I complained about the program scheduling, in which they cut away from live sports coverage to other content. This is not professional or screams incompetence with regards to scheduling conflicts.

Let me be clear, I don't have a problem with any of the content, I have a problem with the scheduling conflicts.

Enjoy your day

Andries
