Not worth the experience

DSTV charges us an arm and a leg for their service, and they can't get basics right.

When u choose to record a show, cross your fingers that it actually records what you wanted, and not something else. And I have on many occasions understood what they mean with a line that will leave you on the edge of your seat,...the recorded show is bound to get cut off about 10 minutes before the end!!!

Is is wrong of me to expect a company like this to get scheduling right!!

DStv: Hello Peter Team
Best regards,
Good day Sanoshen
Apologies for the dissatisfaction this has caused.
Programming times do change from time to time. If there are broadcast delays or changes the decoder can end up missing parts of a programme.
For this reason, we have safety net to record the video from before and after an event. Ensure your safety nets are longer to avoid missing content.
How to change safety nets:
- Go to “Settings > User Preferences > Recording”
- Set “Safety Net Start” to 3 Min
- Set “Safety Net End” to 10 Min
These settings normally work well.
Example:
Programme: The X Factor UK
Start time: 13:00
End time: 14:00
With the above settings the decoder will record as follows :
Recording start time: 12:57
Recording end time: 14:10
Thank you

Best regards,
Sadly, my settings are as you suggested, and has been like that for sometime.
I fully understand a show or 2, but I have had too many of these experiences.
On 1 occasion, I looked for the "next airing" and recorded it again,....and to my frustration, the end got cut off Again.
This is really unacceptable.
