no switch with explora
Well a couple of months ago i upgraded to the dstv explora on one of their deals that you need to send a sms to them. And they call you back. Everything went well untill i tried the installation. Which i could not do because i did not get a switch in the box as advertised. I then called them and they told me this specific range did not come with the switch . And i would have to buy one my self. So i left it there because where i stay i did not need one. Now im moving and i need one i started researching where to get one and how much they are going for. Instead i keep on finding that i should have recieved one as part of my kit.

We are continually researching and developing many new features and enhancements and for this reason the switch is no longer part of the DStv Hd Explora package. In 2017, we'll also launch a brand new satellite which will allow us to bring our customers even more content and existing services. From that point, our customers will get their DStv service and channels from two satellites - our current and the new satellite.
As a result of these developments and to simplify installations, we've updated our installation recommendations for all decoders (including Xtraview installations).
We recommended that all changes to existing installations, including the replacement of LNBs done by our DStv Accredited Installers. Most of our customers who already have DStv don't need to worry about changing their installations at the moment. It's only when new features are released or when upgrading to newer decoders or getting Xtraview that changes may be required.
