We received our new Explora about a week ago and had problems with it since day 1. We have phoned DSTV a few times to try to sort out these problems. We taped a few programmes and when we wanted to watch it, it said PG blocked. We phoned DSTV AGAIN and the guy said it is because the signal is too weak. When one looks at the signal and strength it goes up to 78% and then suddenly drops again to 0. The other decoder reads full signal, thus showing that the problem must be with the Explora decoder.
We live in Carletonville and there is no agent in our area. Now they want us to drive to Jhb to bring the decoder in for testing. As we are almost certain that the problem is with the decoder, we feel that DSTV delivered a faulty decoder and they need to come and fetch the decoder to have it tested. Am I wrong? I do feel DSTV should deliver service! We have had problems with it since the start and I feel it is DSTV's responsibiity to sort out this problem.
They should have agents in our area or if they delivered a faulty machine, they should come and fetch it for testing.
