No permission to take money from my account. HORRIBLE SERVICE
I thought dstv would be over such problems by now but here I am sitting on 30 minute call with no resolution. I called DSTV on the 1st of May more than once to find out why the internet service that I signed up for mid April is not working. I was informed that, somehow it got disconnected they apologized and they reconnected it and asked that I make a payment of R179 on the account. while on the line I paid and they told me that I needed to pay an additional R5 to get the account active. Same day I went to pnp to pay because online portal did accept the R5 payment. When I got tp pnp i was told of a fee exceeding R400. I went back home to call and the call queue was hectic from there on. Now my services are cut off. I call multichoice to find out what is outstanding and why. They tell me a debit order rejected and needed to pay for the services to be reconnected. I asked what debit order? and they told me they used my banking details from years ago when i had a contract with them to debit for the internet account. QUESTION: whose permission did they obtain to use my OLD banking details? WHICH payment date did we agree on for the debit order? Now that i no longer use that bank for payments who will pay for the rejection fee? who will pay for the reconnection fees for my services? When I spoke to the internet department asking them of outstanding fees, why did they not tell me of the unknown debit order that is meant to pay for my services? on my forever long call with Mbali Buthelezi there was no resolution to how dstv will be accountable for their horrible business conduct. I asked that they verify what I am telling her by listening to the calls I made to dstv. She didn't confirm that it would be done. I will not pay reconnection fees because they did not tell me of any action they doing on my account. I have no services because of their bad business conduct. My services were active when I called asking how much tp pay and what is going on. So no I'm not avoiding payment. Multichoice must take accountability for their actions. Its terrible to lodge a debit order not confirming with the consumer because all charges from the bank will be the consumer's responsibility. Worse of it all not telling me which date it will go off. And this is not done by one consultant but all of them don't say anything about the debit order. Now it will be their penalties too and no service. In my head I'm thinking its the R5 that cause the disconnection and the internet is not working so don't know when its expecting payment. Why the deceit? After years of doing business with them... I told Mbali, I'm at work and asked that she called me back as I have been holding for long or she calls me on my mobile number. She was not willing. I asked that a supervisor calls me then she said I would have to wait as it wont be anytime soon... I lack words to describe the experience I am having with dstv. It actually serves them right to keep losing customers to other streaming platforms. they have no respect to consumers profiles and customer centricity. (As I go on the journey of waiting for a precious call from the SUPERVISOR)
