NO GRACE PERIOD

I am very dissappointed.

i am a domestic worker who gets paid in cash on hand every month on the 23rd, and my due date for my payment is the 23rd of each month. i have not noticed that multichoice does not offer people a grace period to make payments what so ever or maybe its me alone. I was due to pay on the 23rd of this month but because i got paid late last night, i could not go to the shop as it was very very late, therefore it meant that i will wake up for following day to go the shops to pay but to my suprise when the kids were watching tv now in the morning (24 August 2022) the channels went off and it autometically went to 100....just the morning after the due date, not even midday. what kind of treatment is this, who adjudicates this, that person is cruel. isnt it that you are supposed to afford people at least a day or half a day to pay the dstv, how can you switch it off the morning after the due date. i know at the back of my head that i need to pay for the dstv, i was already preparing to go the shops and also prepapring my family as well. I mean the kids were watching cartoons for heavan sake. whats the need for this embarresment. Situation differ and months are not the same. but you should have compassion and not chase after profits to this extent. this is outrageours. we are not running away from paying but you should undertand that in this current economic climate, jobs are hard to come by and some people get paid cash on had, so we cant pay electronically as other people can. do not put a blancket approach to this.

i called an agent to find out whats going on and she said it depends on the subscription that you are on and i said im on compact but she failed to give me a sound reason so i just said fine. But one day the monopoly that you guys are living in will go away. we are continuously living in digitized environment and some day, be it today, tommorow or in 30 years time or whenever it maybe. we will have oligopoly and maybe we will get reprieve.
