No access to website
Why is it that I cannot access the Multichoice website? I have been trying for more than a week. I would like to view the different packages available. I find the new price increase substantial and need to downsize to a more affordable package, which will meet my needs. I am not prepared to pay R844 per month so see the same old movies being shown month after month. I have sent a friendly request regarding the matter of repeating movies, but have had no feedback from them either.

Regarding our website, we have forwarded an email to your personal email address where you can respond with the required information.
We understand your concern regarding repeats. MultiChoice does not schedule programmes but buys ready-made local and international channels. Each channel schedules new and recurring programmes according to a programme or movie's license specification.
Programmes are also repeated to give our customers more chances to watch or record something they might have missed.
The other reason is that there are a finite number of new movies and shows being made every year. A single channel, broadcasting 24 hours a day, needs 8 760 hours of content a year. There are only about 600 new movies made every year (which equates to just 1 200 hours of movies). However, there's a lot of new content available on a weekly basis, channels such as M-Net and M-Net Edge has new shows and movies every week.
