New DSTV Decoder

DStv Installer is the worst!! Our decoder stopped working in April 2025 and we put a claim in with DSTV insurance. The insurance was approved within a day or two and we were informed that the installer will be in contact. As we are living in Northern Cape, our nearest DSTV installer is in Upington. We are now struggling since April to get our new decoder installed!! Apparently they cannot courier the decoder to us in Steinkopf as DSTV has to do the installation themselves. We constantly have to follow-up since NO ONE calls you back with an update. DSTV insurance do respond to emails, but it is normally just the same message to say that they escalated the issue!! For the past 3 months we are watching TV via WiFi, which is extremely expensive especially since we are pensioners. DSTV Installer (from Upington) promised to come to Steinkopf on Thursday, 12th June, but, as per their usual conduct, it was another empty promise!! It is an absolute disgrace the way people living in the countryside/rural areas are treated. Our money is good enough, but when it comes to providing a service to us it is non-existent. We are beyond frustrated!!!
