New Account

I suspended my father's account in July 2014 as he passed away. I tried in December to change it to my name and reactivate it, as there is a credit on the account. I have never had an account with DSTV/Multichoice, but apparently my ID number had been used two or three years ago. I had to go to the police station and swear an affidavit, which I did. Took this back to Multichoice on the 2nd January and have heard nothing at all since then. Not one word!!! On requesting to see a copy of the ID used by the person **********ly opening the account, I was advised that, no, accounts can be OPENED VIA TELEPHONE with no ID having to be produced, just a valid ID number provided. How stupid is that??
