Needs the ombudsman's intervention
To think that at one point DSTV used to lead in customer service, now they are the worst and there is absolutely no surprise why. Before I continue I believe people should know their rights to approach the ombudsman concerning these numerous escalations that no one is aiding or attending to.
The issue here is the head of your customer care, who has decided to hire people without properly training them, it means he/she is not doing a follow up on the customer service areas and thus leading to such unhappy clients.
My decoder went missing in November 2019, I called in so many times I've lost count, luckily for me I recorded my calls so that people can hear what a circus DSTV is running.
Call agents from PE and DBN giving incorrect names on calls, giving their colleagues the phone to handle escalations, its a joke.
no one could tell me what happened to my decoder. For more than 20 days no one got back to me I had to call again, mind you the head of servicing has his/her DSTV connected and his/her children have been watching DSTV while my child was without TV for that period of the school holidays. I had to purchase another decoder and have that loaded on my account, only to be told I need to pay AGAIN
why change your billing system when there were no issues with it? your current billing system is worse than the call agents who lie and keep people on hold until they lose the call.
eventually a guy from DBN was able to locate the missing decoder however I'm still waiting for someone to fix my billing.
what an unfortunate MESS. more than anything, its sad to see that entertainment companies are not focusing on entertaining us and bringing us joy, they are leading in mistreating clients.

I would like to thank you for your patience in dealing with me but you need to understand that my initial frustration is dealing with a bunch of people who don't care to help.
I appreciate you following up its a pity this wouldn't have been done had I not logged a complaint.
above it all, the financial losses that have occurred in me trying to call you guys, replacing a missing decoder etc I really hope your service department improves.
well done sir.

(Kagiso) a compliment for trying to resolve my query, I realize you actually truly are just like the rest of your colleague lazy to go into detail... but I don't blame you, your training was probably not refurbished and there's nothing you can do about it.
A special thank you to Portia Nkosi in the Randburg branch who FINALLY resolved my query.
found the exact dates of the missing decoder and fixed my billing.
not passing a 2c journal just to keep me quiet.
