Need to be advised if calls are recorded

I had an issue with Multi Choice and during our discussion I said I hope this conversation is being recorded and was told it was. The only trouble is when you ring in there is no message to say all calls are recorded... .surely this is not acceptable. If calls are recorded one should be advised.
