MY RIGHTS AS CUSTOMER

Dear Sir,

Your statements published by News 24 on 30 April 2019 refers. I would like to inquire as to your reasons behind your decision not to air any content that includes Steve Hofmeyr. The reason for my inquiry is because your decision directly affects my rights as a customer, to decide for myself what I want to see and what not. Your decision boils down to censorship. For that reason, I would need to know why you made this decision. If you decide to run with the standard reply that Steve Hofmeyr is a ******, well then you have a choice of two options. You can either supply myself and the general public with the proof that he was convicted of ****** or You will be expected to ban all content of convicted ******s like Julius Malema, who has in fact been convicted of hate speech and ordered to pay compensation. I firmly believe that your CEO has a personal agenda and that the mighty Multichoice is being used as his personal school ground bully, purely because he does not like Mr. Hofmeyr or the fact that he has many people who do support him. I will post this letter to you on social media and will encourage others to use their freedom of speech, freedom of expression and freedom of association to demand that the censorship that Multichoice has chosen to initiate, be retracted. Lastly, I would like to remind you that his country has a past where sport and music have always been a tool to unite our nation. I fail to see the logic of using that same platform to try and silence one man and in the process dividing the nation. Your methods are not effective in uniting this country, on the contrary. Your speedy reply is awaited.
