Following my previous complaint regarding the issue I am experiencing with my Explora 2 decoder, I have done some research.
It appears that Multichoice have choosen to use a cheap, sub-standard hard-drive in the Explora 2A and it is expected that this hard-drive will fail after a year. This is a common, expected fault yet Multichoice continue to sell their product, and fail to provide clear information to customers when the problem arises.
My last enquiry received a weak response recommending that I take my decoder in to the Multichoice service centre for testing. No "testing" is required; the hard-drive has failed as expected.
The decoder is less than two years old. Could you confirm what documentation you require in order to replace your faulty product with another; proof of purchase, original packaging?
Thank you

Thank you for contacting us.
Please have your Explora decoder tested at the nearest DStv service centre or agency. Our technical team will be able to identity problem with your decoder besides the hard drive.
If the decoder is faulty and needs to be repaired. You will be required to pay out a repair charge fee as both decoders are not insured.
