MultiChoice/GoTV Sucks!

Multi Choice/GoTV SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So here we are on Monday, 5 March 2018, and I have once again been let down by Multi Choice! I called Faith Riba and she told me that she is off sick today and will get somebody else to call me!

I am sure I will get a much better response from Multi Choice as soon as I post this problem on “Hello Peter” and “Social Media”! If I pay 1 minute too late, my Service get’s cut off, but Multi Choice can take their time and do as they please

This Gotv account is in my wife's name. Mrs. L Schoeman. I.D. nr. 7***********. Our GoTv was installed on 12 January 2018. Our picture buffers when we watch Tv, so I contacted MultiChoice and had the Installers come and see what the problem was. They raised our arial and said that the reception was good and left. Unfortunately that did not solve the problem, the buffering continuos!!! I have made numerous phone calls and nobody seems to know how we can solve my problem. I then brought the decoder in to the MultiChoice head office in Randburg on 19 February 2018 and the lady at Service desk 68 told me that they can not test the decoder! She said that they will get Field Service to come to my house and test it. She also said that she will keep me in the loop and let me know when they will come. After 7 days of no call or contact from ANYBODY AT MULTICHOICE, I called them again. Clive told me that he will get it sorted and that he will call me that same day. Needless to say, I am still waiting for his call. Then I called again on 28 February 2018 and another person told me that HE will sort it out! Yet again that was the last hear from him! This morning, 2 March 2018 I called in AGAIN and Sheelbooi told me I must bring the decoder in and also had me speak to his Superviser. Now I am at multiChoice and was told that the decoder is fine and that they will send Field Service to my house TODAY OR TOMORROW! Just so that you know, on Monday, 26 February 2018 the decoder would not read the remote in the mornings when we switch on the Tv. You have to wait a couple of minutes before it would read the remote or you had to change the channel manually at tbe decoder. This now happens EVERY MORNING! I hope this problem get's resolved by tomorrow as promised by Faith!

Kind regards Theo Schoeman

Thanks Rupert I did get a call from a "New" Installer and a call from the original Installers (Terresat). I should hear from them by tomorrow. This will be their 3rd visit to my house, hopefully they can get it right this time.

So after a LOOOOOOONG struggle I got the COO/Owner/Manager of the Installers to my house on Friday, 9 March 2018. They "Tested" the signal and Decoder and said that there is nothing wrong! The problem is still there and I am supposed to live with a sub standard reception of a Service that I have to pay for every month. This seems to be the trend on Most services in this country! EVERYBODY passes the buck and we have to live with it. My "Theory" on this issue is as Follows: 1. Multi Choice is not getting enough money out of me and wants me to Upgrade to the Full DSTV! Full DSTV is the ONLY DSTV option that supplies M-Net, so either you take one for the team and stick to this inferior service or Upgrade to Full DSTV and pay almost triple the monthly premium! 2. Multi Choice's Broadband signal for Terrestrial viewing has too many other Broadband signals interfering, so you suffer the consequences OR Upgrade to Full DSTV. If they did this Terrestrial Migration with a Satellite signal and decoder there would be NO problem! 3. IF the Multi Choice terrestrial signal is 100% correct and the Decoder is 100% correct, then the Fault must be with the Installation! The Installers have now been at my house 3 times and they say that there is "nothing wrong", but my problem is still there. I am NOT a happy customer and will continue my posts on Hello Peter and Social Media UNTIL somebody (Multi Choice or an Installer) comes and fixes my problem! I am rather sure that I can not be the only person with this problem. So if there is anybody out there that is experiencing the same Terrestrial Migration head aches as I am, please join this conversation.
