Multichoice/DStv

To all South African DStv Subscribers

Isn't it time for all of us to ask Multichoice DStv for value for money? Aren't you sick and tired of all the repeat serials and movies? R919.00 per month for what? - add to that all the income they get from advertisers! Read the numbers below - they make more money from broadcasting to neighbouring countries! Aren't you sick and tired of all the repeat serials and movies? R919.00 per month for what? We are dished up with repeat serials, documentaries and movies and quite often the same movie is showing on different channels on the same evening. How many times have they shown Downtown Abbey to mention just one. Channel 120 is supposed to be British serials etc. but rarely has any British movies or serials (some American) but mostly programs to do with cars. Channels 174, 176, 178 and 184 are mostly ’Lifestyle’ or ‘Nature’ topics and very enjoyable but so repetitious it’s ridiculous. Try complaining on their Website and nothing happens! Collectively we can do something to make them listen. Are you ready to demand some respect, acknowledgement and not the disdain they show us? MultiChoice has published its interim financial results for the period ended 30 September 2020, showing a steep decline in DStv Premium subscribers.

Bevis Beck Yes Sir. But there needs to be some concerted action.. My feeling is that we South Africans not all are armchair critics but no action as opposed to the UK & Continent•

Richard Stephens That comment I entirely agree with! Mostly they have too much money and accept any old ******* delivered to them. One thing I forgot to say is all the revenue Multichoice/DStv receive from advertising! When will Multichoice/DStv ever listen to their Customers - try complaining on their website; absolutely no response and you can't even now email them to complain!

Mike Willment Just unsubscribe and try Netflix – very much cheaper and excellent content!

Richard Stephens It's getting very close to that but I need my English serials, documentaries and news channels etc.. Are you ready to demand some respect, acknowledgement and not the disdain they show us? Now that Naspers have ‘divorced’ Multichoice from their ‘stable’ isn’t it time for all DStv Subscribers to request some rationalisation to their Bouquets? They have for many years been constantly making statements about improving their service and offerings but nothing ever materialises (refer to articles from MyBroadband and the general media).…

Disgruntled Customer Did away with DStv years ago. Mostly ******* with very little value for money. Compared to what my family overseas have available to them, DStv are amateurs that are *********** their customers.

I have posted this on HelloPeter and my FaceBook page but surely you would know a better site for a positive resolve. It’s all very well cancelling DStv but what have Netflix really go to offer? Every time DStv come up with some ‘improvement’ it is always at an extra cost to their subscribers. For example they talk about ‘linking up’ with Netflix and Showmax and having a new Explora but all this costs extra.

What about a discount for pensioners who rely mostly on their televisions for their entertainment and can’t afford to keep paying extra.

What about all the money DStv save by airing repeat movies and serials instead of buying new movies and serials?

Every day I hear of disgruntled DStv subscribers complaining about all the above reasons but anxious to dump DStv for lack of a decent alternative.

Maybe it’s time to refer this whole debacle to HelloPeter.com? I am happy to start the ball rolling…………..

Your comments and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in anticipation and wishing you, your Family and co-workers a Healthy and Peaceful New Year, Richard Stephens
