Multichoice unfairly disconnects
Early in January I received an sms stating that I'm being offered a discount of R89 in my compact subscription until end of March. So I paid an amount less by R89 . In April I phoned multichoice as I noticed after my payments I was left with an overdue, the consultant said I must email her the sms I had received about the discount so that she can fix the balance.
After my payment this month , I now have an outstanding of R151 because I must pay now this outstanding R89 with the reconnection fee . How am I liable for a dis count I was offered by them.
Now the consultant lies and says today the R151 is outstanding because compact went up to R450 a month in April so I'm being charged for that .
When I ask what do I do now because I paid my compact instalment as per usual then she says unfortunately I must first pay the R151 . Its so unfair to offer people discounts and then later on tell a person they must pay the money back with a reconnection fee as the service has been disconnected now.
I really wish they can get competition because it's not the 1st time i encounter a problem with multichoice and they are never liable with anything .
