Multichoice sucks

We have been subscribers since the 'MNet days' but are now completely disgusted at the treatment we received. Our home and our entire area was flooded on 12 April 2022 and almost nothing survived as we were in chest deep water in 5 minutes. Needless to say, our explora and secondary decoder did not survive and neither did any of our other electronic equipment including our cellphones. We, however, have a record of a call being logged to Multichoice on 20 April 2022 to suspend our annually paid premium package. As there is no email address, we had to log a call, is this so that Multichoice can deny receiving the calls. Our annual subscription came due in January 2023 and to our surprise we were asked to pay the subscriptions which we duly ignored as we had suspended this account. I visited the Umhlanga branch in March 2023 to enquire and was told that they have no record of the call being logged and we must provide proof that we called. However, on 11 April 2023, Multichoice handed us over for an outstanding amount of R186. and of course, no one can help even though I visited the said branch again with proof that the call was logged. It should be noted that all the other suppliers who were called on that day by the same person acknowledged the request and acted appropriately. I have cancelled this subscription for which I have paid for a year without being able to enjoy what I was paying for. Multichoice ...you have lost 2 premium customers due to your inefficiency and as I believe you are struggling because there aren't enough premium subscribers to keep you afloat. We now know why!!! And you will go down as the company who exploited flood victims!!!
