MULTICHOICE SUCKS

Went to Multichoice this morning to suspend my subscription on my DSTV for about a month as I will be away. Wanted to arrange suspension for the time I am away and pay for the balance of the month when I get back. I was told it cant be done as the dates are outside of my billing period. I pay monthly via EFT as and when I am home. With the economic climate it makes financial sense to cut unnecessary costs and not pay for DSTV services when not being used. When reading the terms and conditions on the website it states that clients are allowed to suspend subcriptions but Customer Services staff just refuse to assist. "It cant be done" is not an answer. This just shows that Multichoice does not want to try and accomodate their clients. Surely I am not the only client who has had this request. I am aware that cancelling my DSTV subscription will have no impact with Multichoice but feel that I am wasting my hard earned money supporting this company. Staff are not interested in helping customers and this company deserves to lose market share. The only reason I have kept up my DSTV subscription is for of the news and live sport channels. There are no new entertainment programs being shown (programs that are advertised as new are just moved from one channel to another) and all channels show repeats over and over again. Multichoice did have the monopoly on the market a few years ago but fortunately this is changing. Customers are now able to shop around and don't have to put with with this type of bad service and staff attitude.
