Multichoice ... such a joke

Multichoice is the worst service provider I have ever come across . Their service sucks, their responses time sucks but most of all their customer service and service agents have to be the most rude, unhelpful and poorly trained people ever. My drama started ont he 29th of May this year. In Feb of this year I called in to upgrade to compact for just a few days as my son need to watch an all important soccer match. I was advised by the agent that I 'qualified ' for a special of R295 a month for the compact package for the next 6 months. At the time I thought ' Wow, thats awesome' so I said sign me up. March, April and May went by with no drama with Multichoice accepting my payments of R300 a month. Then come end of May I am suddenly disconnected. I called them up and at the end 3 different conversations with agents and R100 air time spent , I was eventually reconnected after explaining about the special offer ( I was initially told that there was no such offer and they couldn't pick up my account- my smart card was apparently registered under someone elses account and I needed to pay R154). I was told by the agent that everything was now in order. Come June 30th , I am disconnected again. This time I called Multichoice about ten different times , three different numbers, spoke to at least 8 different people and spent almost R250 in air time on the line with them. I went from one apathetic *********** person to another. Was advised to try the self service app which is a load of horse manure and about as helpful as using a s**** to dig a tunnel. First the app advised that my account did not exist, then it said I had a balance of 0 and kept referring me to the main menu. Eventually I called them again to be told that i owed R239 some change . Why? I had paid my account in full. What sticks out for me during this tme is the call centre agent at their office ( number ***) who left me holding for 32 minutes whilst she went looking for a supervisor, manager or QA officer and never came back to me( I guess that was her F U to me for requesting that they provide the service and answers I am paying for). Next call and a gentleman answers my call. Well he didn't even bother with the pretence of trying to assist- he just cut the call on me when I was asking him to just hear me out. Eventually managed to call and get put through to a senior agent named Lena who explained that this special I was meant to be on ended in March .. what a joke, how do you offer a subscriber an offer for the next 6 months knowing that he or she could only utilise it for one month? Also , compact costs R399 , I had paid R300, should my balance not be R100- but now I had to pay R240 and still am without service. I wonder how my math and that of Multichoice could vary so greatly? So with R 540 paid in to DStv for a service that costs R399, I am still awaiting my service to be reconnected. Multichoice, I dare someone in management to call me and justify the math. Also, I suggest you go back to the 24th of Feb 2019 and play the call that I made into the call centre and you will hear your agent offering me this special for six months. I called from *** at around 7.10 pm and I believe it was Xolisa that I spoke to, I could be wrong given the fact that I have become fami**** with almost half your staff by now. Why should I have to pay for the incompetence of your staff who are clearly not trained in customer service or customer retention. They have no regard for the customers who are actually paying their salaries. It is a pity that there is no other satellite station that can compete with Multichoice is SA at the moment , or I guarantee that DStv will go the way of TopTV. Multichoice is a joke as a major service provider. Instead of tooting their own horns about being a major player in SA they should invest some time in their systems, training of their staff and providing the quality of service that we are paying for. I look forward to hearing from someone at Multichoice to explain this situation to me.

Majorly disappointed and frustrated Sharon Samuel
