I subscribed for DStv price lock in my and my services began on the 25 May 2019. I was told I would be charged a pro rata for the 7 days in May and I agreed. June i was debited an amount of R951 inclusive of the pro rata I assumed because my subscription amount us R899. To my surprise in July i was then debited an amount of R1660, which i then reversed as i ddnt understand why such a exorbitant amount was debited and I couldn’t gat hold of price lock to clarify this for me.

I then made a manual payment of the debit order i gave consent to. August i got debited R64, which on seeing this little amount I made another manual payment of R 800. Again a surprising debit order of R19000 was charged which did not go through as i dnt not have such funds in my account. I made another manual payment of R899.

After a few days i was called by debt collectors to say am owing multichoice an amount of R3000. I was never warned that am owing by multichoice my services were active. I was really disappointed to be handed over with any adequate notice of the intended purpose of the action.

I contact price lock with no success, as they don’t answer. I then resorted to using the live chat which i managed to chat to 4 different people giving me different stories. Now recently a chat with sonto I was told i am owing an R899 subscription for the month of may. My services have been disconnected and I don’t understand why I would be charged a full subscription for 7 days viewing.

Price lock is a **** and it is really frustrating. Don’t subscribe to it undef any circumstance, you will regret as I an regretting at the moment.
