Multichoice not refunding double payment
On 7 July 2015 my Multichoice debit order didn't go through, because of insufficient funds in my account.
My fault - thought all debit orders have gone through by that time of the month.

I was under the impression that Multichoice would make a double deduction the next month, but was then messaged on several occasions to make the payment ASAP.

I was even phoned by Multichoice to ask if I had made the payment, which I confirmed I did on the 17th of July - via EFT into an existing ABSA Multichoice account.
I asked the gentleman to phone me back if he could not trace the payment.

Received no call back in the coming weeks, so all settled I thought.

Alas no, the next month the double debit order deduction did indeed take place!

Contacted Multichoice per e-mail and explained the situation - I even included a copy of my ABSA account statement which showed the payment, as well as the account number I paid into.

Everytime Multichoice came back and said they could not find the payment on their database (!) and can I please make use of debit orders next time? (!!!)

I was then ensured a higher department would sort out the problem - problem still not solved, not even communication.
