MultiChoice Kendra Installations

On Friday 5th July I called MultiChoice with a technical problem who advised me that they have a technician in the area and will send them to check what my problem is.

MultiChoice Kendra duly arrived, checked what my problem was, advised me that the cable must be replaced. I was advised that the new cable will cost R68.00 per metre.

My final bill was R3 587.00 1. Call out fee which I was not advised of prior -R450.00 2. Optical LNB R850.00. (your website indicates a RRP of R449.00 for accredited installers) 3. 25m cable @ R68.00 per metre = R1 700.00. A goggle search for this cable ranges from R9.00 to R12 .00 per metre. A markup of 467% 4. Labour R587.00 which I don’t have a problem with. 5. MultiChoice Kendra must explain and advise: 1. A call out fee charged without advising the customer in advance. 2. The 90% mark up on the Recommended Retail Price of the LNB. 3. The 467% mark up on the cable charge I will expect a response to this daylight ******* fiasco within 5 days.
