Multichoice is unfair

Multichoice has taken off two channels from my small bouquet. Number 187 (Discovery world) and 343 (Joyce Meyer - religious) and not replaced it. All my channels accessed do not show any replacement. I Phoned them, they're unhelpful. They Increased their annual fee, but two channels taken was off. What a rip-off. I want these two channels replaced. If channel numbers were changed I would have found it on my bouquet, but there is nothing. I am a Pensioner... I have to pay every company I use an annual increase, (Pensioners don't get more money every year) Then they have the cheek to do this to me !! COME ON

Dear Mrs MD Jarrett

Thank you for taking the time to contact us, apologies for the inconvenience caused. Please be advised that confirmation below was provided about the removal of channel.

Discovery World is no longer available on the DStv platform. We have launched a new channel called Discovery Family on DStv Channel 135. As a DStv Select customer, you do not receive any new channels launched. You can move to the DStv Family package for the same price point.

The new Discovery Family channel will be on DStv Channel 136, moving TLC Entertainment to DStv Channel 135, means the two channels will sit next to each other.

The main reason why we do not have a pensioners discount, is that we can’t guarantee that only pensioners will use the decoder. Decoders are portable, and we’ve experienced cases where people abuse the system. We do offer a commercial subscription to multi-unit retirement villages as a whole. In this way, pensioners can get their DStv services at a reduced rate.

Regards

Nesta
