Multichoice gives incompetence a new meaning

I am a premium subscriber and as far as Im aware my payment to Multichoice is R799 ... I have been receiving messages on my decoder that I need to make a payment of R499. I drive (yes petrol is not cheap) to Multichoice Umhlanga and the lady behind the counter assures me that this is a mistake and that I need to make the full payment.
On the 25th June (due date) I do an Internet EFT of R800 and thought that my account was up to date. Nooo - I still keep on getting messages that my account of R499 needs to be paid !! After 2 calls to the useless call centre and emailing of Proof of payment to [Email Removed] twice, the only response I get from the call centre person is that this is not Multichoice's problem but my banks issue.. Yes standard bank dont pay EFTs when we press pay and they deduct the money !!!!!! what a joke
Funny all my other payments have been received and there is no problem...
I wish that there was an alternative to Multichoice but unfortunately we are held to ransom by their monopoly of satellite television in South Africa.
