Multichoice falsely accuses pensioner, *****s from pensioner and exposes her to chances of contracting coronavirus
On 20 January 2020 I called Dstv call centre and issued an instruction to them to downgrade from Premium to Compact Plus with effect from 1 February 2020. The call centre agent confirmed that the instruction to downgrade package was loaded and will kick on 1 February 2020. On 1st February 2020 my services were disconnected and I informed my my daughter that Dstv debited my account with R529 which is the correct amount for Compact Plus but disconnected my services. My daughter called Dstv to enquire why the deactivated the services and Dstv rep**** that they did not receive February amount so they disconnected her services. We were surprised because it's a debit order and money was collected. We were also suprised to be told that i am on premium package and not Compact Plus. That was bizarre because it's debit order psyment, a debit order was collected for R529 but the package was not downgraded to Compact Plus and still on Premium. They did not follow instructions and messed up on top of that by terminating services with payment received. My daughter and I instructed them to activate services with immediate effect and to the appropriate Compact Plus package. On 1 March 2020 we discovered that Dstv imposed financial penalties when activating the service and connection by charging 2 separate penalty fees, connection fee and reactivation fee. I only discovered this in March when the debit order amount was close to R700 instead of R529. We called Dstv to query the amount and the agent confirmed that Dstv made a mistake first for disconnecting services, secondly for not downgrading to Compact Plus and thirdly for charging reconnection and activation fees. The agent said he escalated the matter to accounts to fix the account and reverse the penalties. It's May 3rd, 2020 and Dstv still continues to ***** money from my account and have not reversed the financial penalties they charged without cause. We've called Dstv on a monthly basis to find out what's the issue and how difficult is it to correct an error they made and yet issue remains unresolved. We visited Dstv in Randburg in March right after the lockdown and the agent who assisted us picked up the mistake and multiple notes made on my account profile that the account department lmust credit my account with the monies they stole from my account by way of unwarranted penalties and reduce the April debit from R529 with that amount. He escalated the matter to get it corrected and resolved so that tthe April debit order is reduced with the credit amount and to my dismay and anger that was not done and the April debit order collected R529. My daughter and I followed up mid April to find out what's going on check and the agent confirmed that May debit order will be less, the account department had received the escalation to fix the error. We called Dstv again on Thursday 31 April when we realised that the amount to pay was still R529. The agent confirmed that the account was not corrected even though it was instructed on the second week of February. Firstly, I'm 73 years old, a pensioner with diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, and weak immune system and was forced to expose myself to coronavirus by travelling to Multichoice in Randburg offices over an issue and error that Dstv made and accepted. Secondly, I do not require fancy, expensive and unnecessary packages with useless content. Thirdly, it's ridiculous to pay R900 for such poor programming allocation and curating. I demand that the CEO himself to fix this matter urgently and pay us for falsey accusing me of non-payment, emotional stress, wasting out time, telephone call costs, travel expenses and putting my life and daughters life at risk and exposure to Covid-19. I will going to Multichoice offices in Randburg tomorrow and exposing myself and daughter yet again to the coronavirus, incurring emotional stress and financial expenses. I am not leaving their offices tomorrow until they do they fix it. That amount they owe me has gained interest from February until May and on top of that I expect free viewing for as long as I'm alive.

Sorry is not enough. I will await Dstv to do better in their explanation and how they plan to remedy the inconvenience they cost me in time, money and possible health complications or death exposure to Covid-19. I'm not a child, I'm 73 years old and have neither time to play nor for nonsense. I ran organisations and managed people in my time. This is mediocre!
