MULTICHOICE EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE!!!!!

I was called by multichoice today to ask if I want to renew my 24 month contract which ended today. I said yes but after being asked every verification question under the sun for several minutes I got irritated and said I was going to answer any more and put down. This evening I find my service cut off. The technical call centre say they can't help, the sales people have to call back tomorrow. So I sit without service till then. Is this the way to treat a customer who has been with them since they started????

Reviewer Update
Just to let you know my DSTV was reconnected yesterday, their sales people called yesterday to offer the special deal again. However in their service review while I gave the agent(who only asked 2 verification questions this time) 7 out of 10 rating, I made the following comment:  "The process was not completed the first time an agent called because I was driving and could not hear the caller properly. Also I was not warned that my DSTV would be terminated on 21st May, This is very poor communication which resulted in me being without the service for 2 days before I could sort it out. As a person who has never missed a payment since the inception of Mnet decades ago I find this extremely disappointing. There must be a better way than a cell phone call, of dealing with this situation in this digital age. How is the customer to know that the caller is definitely from Multichoice when being asked several personal questions, including ID, for verification. Any ********* could call and say the same then they would have enough information for ID theft."  I still worry and I am suspicious of the fact that the first caller(who also had a very offhand manner, not in the least bit friendly) asked at least 10 verification questions of great personal detail? What if they sell that info to a ********* who *****s my identity?
