Multichoice double charges subscription at start and end of price lock deals

My price lock plan on DSTV is ending and I will be paying my final installment of R899 pm on 1 March 2018. This covers my subscription until the end of March 2018 after which I will revert back to the normal DSTV package, paying my first installment (after the price lock plan) on 1 April 2018 which will be my subscription upfront for April 2018.

My online account info (on My DSTV) however shows that my bank account will be debited with R1,649 on 1 March 2018. This means they will be double charging me for March 2018's subscription. I pointed this out to DSTV and to date nothing has been done to sort out my dilemma. This despite a written promise (e-mail) that they will respond to me by 22H00 on 26 Feb 2018.

I have experienced similar subscription double charging problems at the start of my price lock plan which took me 6 hours of phone calls and 23 e-mails to be refunded. It seems as if DSTV is out to double charge their clients at the start and end of these price lock deals and that they bargain on clients not noticing that they have been double charged or giving up hope and getting refunded. I want to warn the public about this double charging tactics of Multichoice DSTV.

Thank you Mr W Steyn

Still nothing done to sort out my problem? You promised me the following at 12H00: "We have escalated your concerns to our Price Lock department for urgent assistance". URGENT must have a total different meaning to Multichoice than what it has to me. How difficult can it be to sort out a problem like this. Account mistakes are sorted out within minutes everyday in other organisations (even Government Organisations). Is Multichoice really that bad. I have just been told by one of your consultants Mpho (under phone reference number: ********** 4 i69) that one cant be put through to your price lock department and she also told me there is no phone number to contact them on. That sounds like the stone age sir. She also promised me her supervisor will phone me back within 15 minutes. I did not hold my breath and told her that I can promise her the supervisor will not phone me back (I am still waiting for that call). How is one suppose to sort an issue out if nobody phone you back and you cant phone the department who is supposed to help you?
