Multichoice - Debt Collection Atterneys

Multichoice handed me over to debt collection attorneys for the amount of R141.77. The issue is that no prior communication was sent to me via SMS, email, or phone.

I stopped payment three months ago, and because you pay in advance, I did not think it was necessary to physically phone them to cancel my subscription.

I wanted the option to re-connect again for the Rugby World Cup using my app. Apparently I have to log into my DStv app (according to the agent) and see if I am in arrears! So if you analyze the app, you will find that it only shows you the re-connection costs! The amount outstanding, according to them, was for the grace period before I was disconnected. I did not ask for a grace period, and this is just another trap to milk some additional money out of you. So in conclusion, Multichoice will never see me as a client again. But what do they care? They have millions of subscribers.
