Multichoice call centre agent threatens decoder upgrade
Good day,
I was contacted by a multichoice call centre from the number *** offering an upgrade in my decoder. I rather requested they delete my number from their database as I received too many calls.
They proceeded to drop the call and call me from the following number *redacted*. They threatened to process the upgrade and were very belligerent and informed me that they had all my information in hand to process the upgrade. I have the recorded conversation as evidence.
I contacted Multichoice through their online portal this week but have had no feedback and no acknowledgement so I am using hello Peter.
Firstly, can Multichoice account how it manages an upgrade if it is **********. 2. Their process to regulate private customer information for sales. 3. The remedial action with such individuals/call centres.
I expect this matter will be taken seriously as this was quite offensive and abusive given their power and access to private information.
Regards.
We acknowledge receiving your complaint and we are attending to it. Feedback will be communicated as soon as possible.
Kind regards

Your account is still active on DStv Compact and it was not upgraded. Kindly note that since you have a DStv account, you have to have your contact details on our systems, this is to ensure that we can communicate with you with regards to such things as new channels, new service, or any other message that we would have to communicate.
