Multichoice are holding my to ransom

At the end of January we decided to unsubscribe from DSTV (too expensive, ****py content, etc. etc.). As prepaid customers we simply just waited to be cut off. Unusually Multichoice kept the service active (unlike in previous periods where we were simply cut off). Now they are demanding a payment for a service we didn't ask for and never to agreed to receive.

The complication is that now are not allowing me to transfer my ownership of my decoder to a friend. For some reason transfer of ownership is at their discretion.

1. Why should I pay for additional service I didn't agree to receive?
2. Multichoice does not own my decoder. Why should they be able to hold it as ransom on an unrelated issue.
3. As they hold the decoder ownership switch they are basically losing out on subscription revenue from the new owner.

So Multichoice not only have alienated a past customer even more; they are now really ****ing off an existing customer who has not bearing on the issue at hand; they are losing out on a subscribers fee by holding a change of ownership as ransom.

Stupid service. Stupid business practice.
